This video is designed for mortgage loan officers who are interested in getting more referrals. Dave King, of Mortgage Sales Manager, discusses how to best thank people for referring others to you. Every loan officer has their own unique approach to this situation. While some officers thank these individuals when the loan closes, when they start the paperwork, or maybe even a few months after the loan closes, these approaches are not the best. It’s essential that you thank these people for their referral immediately. The fact of the matter is that as soon as they give you a referral, whether they’re trying to help you out or help out their friend or family member, they’ve done all that they can do. If for some reason, things don’t work out after that point, it’s not that person’s fault. You need to thank them immediately and thank them often as they’ve already tried to help you out. If you take this approach, you’ll get more referrals and more business.
